Delivery to Canberra and the ACT

Parcels to the ACT come through Sydney or Melbourne and usually arrive in 3 to 4 business days. Queanbeyan, Bungendore and the Southern Tablelands are about the same. We have no retail stockists in the ACT. The nearest are in NSW, so most Canberra customers order online.

Hay nets for Canberra winters

Canberra horses are mostly on agistment, fed grass hay cut on the Southern Tablelands with lucerne or oaten hay trucked in from the Riverina. Tablelands hay is fine enough for 3cm holes, and the Large 3cm knotless net is the net Canberra owners order most. The Large 4cm net suits bigger horses or coarser hay.

Canberra has the coldest winters of any capital, with frosts from May to September. Horses on agistment are often fed once a day, and a slow feed net stretches that hay over the night so they are not standing hungry at dawn. The polyethylene mesh does not go stiff in a frost, so it fills as easily in July as in January.
