Delivery to Melbourne and regional Victoria
Victoria is a short road run from Adelaide. Melbourne metro, Geelong and the Mornington Peninsula usually arrive in 2 to 3 business days. Ballarat, Bendigo and the Western District take 2 to 4, Gippsland and the North East 3 to 5. Victoria is our second-largest market after NSW.
Hay nets for Victorian pasture hay
Most hay fed to horses in Victoria is pasture hay, a ryegrass and clover mix from Gippsland or the Western District, with lucerne for horses in work. Pasture hay is coarser and more tangled than the oaten hay fed in WA and SA, so it feeds more freely through 4cm holes. The Large 4cm knotless net is the net Victorian customers order most. Rich spring pasture is also where laminitis-prone ponies get into trouble. For them the 3cm net slows a flake of hay to a trickle. If you soak hay, the 5cm knotted net drains and dries fastest.
Victorian winters mean rugged horses standing on wet ground for months. A net hung at chest height in a shelter keeps the hay dry and gives the horse something to pick at through the night.
